Scan a barcode or the ingredients list itself, and get a straight answer about gluten - including the "may contain traces" warnings that other apps bury or skip.

Photograph the label and your phone reads it on the device. Works on any product, even one no database has heard of. Nothing leaves your phone to do it.

The gluten source is marked in the list, so you can see why - in ten languages, including the German and Italian labels that turn up in European shops.

We are a family with celiac disease close to us. The apps we tried told us a product was "safe" without telling us how they knew - and treated a voluntary "may contain traces" warning as if it meant something precise. It does not. So we built the app we wanted: one that shows its work, and says plainly when it does not know.
(Celiac disease is spelled "coeliac" outside the US - same condition.)
